BAGASSE:
OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes are made from bagasse, which is the fibrous pulp left over from sugar cane processing. Bagasse is a natural plant fiber that is used as an eco-friendlier substitute for plastic and is a rising star of environment-friendly materials. Bagasse has GHG emissions that are significantly lower than plastic, making it a low-carbon material.
COMPOSTABLE:
OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes are made from bio-based materials that have been certified as safe for industrial & home & garden compost bins. OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes can be disposed of with the flowers, and will decompose within 18-24 months in ordinary soil, leaving no micro-plastics behind.
ADJUSTING FOR THICKER STEMS:
OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes can hold thicker stems by snipping the neck to the desired width. Since the tube widens out, cutting it at the top will allow for larger stems (dahlias, Cymbidium orchids) in the tube. You can pre-cut tubes to different sizes so that they are ready to go when needed.
FILLING WITH WATER:
There are two ways to fill OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes with water -
Option 1: Submerge tube in a bowl or bucket of water. Squeeze the tube just under the neck several times until no more bubbles release from the neck.
Option 2: Tilt the tube slightly and hold under a small steady stream of water until it fills.
You can pre-fill OLMS WaterPods with water, then store in a vessel with more water so that they are ready to go when needed.

OLMS Bamboo Floral Sticks
Attach Your Card: #1:
The little vertical cut at the top of the OLMS Bamboo Floral Stick will hold most note cards firmly in place. It measures 3/4” long, 1/16” wide. This is the most eco-friendly option, & gets you 10% more sticks at the same price with the 16” sticks (the 9” do not come with elastics). This cut can also hold seed packets for your herb garden, table place setting cards for the wedding you are planning, labels to sell houseplants….OLMS Bamboo Floral Sticks can be used for more than just note cards!
Attach Your Card: #2:
You can order the 16” OLMS Floral Sticks with Elastics. First, pick your stick quantity, then choose your Elastic color (Black; White; Earthy Gold; Chocolate Brown). It’s a great way to secure your larger note card or envelope to the OLMS Stick. Place your card at the top of the Stick, slide the Elastic loop up from the bottom of the stick, & do a quick twist to secure the Elastic up over your card, and on to the head of the OLMS Stick. (Also works well for bumpy rides).
Made From Bamboo:
Bamboo is where OLMS Bamboo Floral Sticks come from. Bamboo was chosen as the primary material because it is so highly renewable & biodegradable (as opposed to plastic). Bamboo’s nickname is "Green Gold," - it can grow without fertilizers or pesticides, and produces 35% more oxygen compared to similar plants.
Dimensions:
OLMS Bamboo Floral Sticks come in two lengths: 9” (22.8cm) & 16" long (40.6cm), with notches near the bottom that allow you to shorten as necessary. The cut at the top is 3/4” long (1.8mm), and can hold your note card or business card with ease. If your note card is on the thicker or larger side, see "Elastics" below.
Adjustable Length:
One of our favorite design details. These pretty little cuts allow you to shorten your OLMS Sticks when you need to. Gently bend or snap where the notches are and the OLMS stick goes to the length you need it to. (The notches can also be used as guides to shortening wherever you like).
Choose Elastic Color:
The Elastics (only available with the 16” OLMS stick) are a great way to secure your larger note card or envelope to the 16” OLMS Stick. Choose one of four colors: Black; White; Earthy Gold; and Chocolate Brown - go with what is prettiest for your branding. It’s simple: slide the Elastic loop up from the bottom of the OLMS Stick, then do a quick twist over the card (the twist is optional) and secure on to the little bulb at the top of stick.
